SIM-II is an improved version of SIM-I. The FOV of radiometer is 2 degree instead of 13.3 degree with the new tracking system. The temperature control is improved better than 0.3℃.
FY-3C SIM-II has two absolute radiometers, one radiometer performs normal observation, the other one is observed 1 day in a month for degradation monitor.
FY-3E SIM-II has three absolute radiometers supported for an improving monitor on ageing. A new observation mode is designed with 2 minutes period which can capture solar irradiance on each orbit 11 times.
